After 3rd play minutes Serdar Dursun shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Geovanni Paranaense and just under the crossbar into goal. Geovanni Paranaense came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Nevşehirspor's Serdar Dursun. But to his dismay, Serdar Dursun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Serdar Dursun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geovanni Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serdar Dursun, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 20th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Berger to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cido Furlan hit a great ball. A hard shot 26 in the game by Giuliano David from a close distance when the talented Abdulkerim Bir managed to make a qualified save. Nevşehirspor's players were relieved. 27 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Santiago Cabezudo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdulkerim Bir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Villaverde Celeste Clube were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Nevşehirspor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frederico Godoi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Frederico Godoi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abdulkerim Bir quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Alberto Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaverde Celeste Clube's protests and gave Alberto Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Alberto Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Santiago Cabezudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Cabezudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdulkerim Bir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuliano David was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Nevşehirspor defense, Frederico Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdulkerim Bir. The Nevşehirspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdulkerim Bir should have stopped the shot. Nevşehirspor's Menderes Ergazi was substituted for İslam Toktahan. Nevşehirspor's Abdulkerim Bir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuliano David in the 62nd minute of play. In the 69th minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Vitinho Garcia seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vitinho Garcia the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Villaverde Celeste Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vitinho Garcia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Nevşehirspor's Serdar Dursun in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David got a free kick in the 86th minute. When the match was over Nevşehirspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villaverde Celeste Clube throughout the match.
