In the 18th minute, Jonathan Rodas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Giuliano David put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Artemio Cristofor. Frederico Godoi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Jonathan Rodas fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Masters United F.C.'s protests and gave Jonathan Rodas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when Masters United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giuliano David charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giuliano David the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Giuliano David. Masters United F.C.'s Artemio Cristofor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuliano David in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Masters United F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giuliano David who took care of the corner kick. In the 30th match minute, Masters United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Ramond to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Cabezudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Geovanni Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Villaverde Celeste Clube were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Paulo Ralondo made the kick off in the second half. Cido Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Artemio Cristofor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilton Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gregorio Clementi fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Masters United F.C.'s protests and gave Gregorio Clementi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, Masters United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Clementi to maneuver through the defense. Santiago Cabezudo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 58th playminute. After 73 minutes of play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Wilton Berger made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artemio Cristofor was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 76 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Garcia. After some careless play in the Villaverde Celeste Clube defense, Jonathan Rodas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Paranaense. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanni Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Róbson Donato hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Furlan in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Cristofor saved Masters United F.C. from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villaverde Celeste Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
