After having played for 13 minutes, Cyryl Balkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Słodkie Cytryny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyryl Balkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marian Mietus spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Spartak de Txurdi's goal. Osoro Amorebieta hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Cyryl Balkiewiczs short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Xesus Jurado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 minutes of play, Spartak de Txurdi's Silvino Ribas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olgierd Zarobski was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, George Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartak de Txurdi's supporters rose to their feet, but George Beloki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olgierd Zarobski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Słodkie Cytryny's Olgierd Zarobski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Beloki in the 40th minute of play. Olgierd Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Beloki in the 42nd minute of play. Macedonio Sainz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cyryl Balkiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jacques Solana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spartak de Txurdi's Xesus Jurado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Mietus in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-2 when George Beloki sped through Słodkie Cytryny's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olgierd Zarobski. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cyryl Balkiewicz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xesus Jurado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xesus Jurado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyryl Balkiewicz in the 68th minute of the match. Olgierd Zarobski was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and George Beloki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. George Beloki really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Słodkie Cytryny's Andrzej Indyk was substituted for Pawel Karpinski. Osoro Amorebieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Zarobski having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Beloki in the 79th minute of play forced Słodkie Cytryny's goalkeeper Olgierd Zarobski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Słodkie Cytryny getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Andrzej Indyk hit a great ball. Osoro Amorebieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olgierd Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Beloki in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Witalis Trela during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Spartak de Txurdi booed when Słodkie Cytryny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Trela didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Spartak de Txurdi's Osoro Amorebieta got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute George Beloki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olgierd Zarobski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Słodkie Cytryny supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Spartak de Txurdi's performance. The match ended with a win for Spartak de Txurdi.
