The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Onsala Ass Kickers's Thomas Hägglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Jeker in the 3rd minute of play. Onsala Ass Kickers's Edwin Sjöberg got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerard Barth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Valler in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jan Björnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Christer Pihlwall put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Onsala Ass Kickers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Uetendorf Wanderers:s goal. After a rather tough play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Jakob Micheletto got a free kick in the 25th minute. Dimitri Bircher hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Gilberto Jeker struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Thomas Hägglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uetendorf Wanderers. In the 35th minute, Edwin Sjöberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerard Barth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Sjöberg in the 44th minute of play forced Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper Gerard Barth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Onsala Ass Kickers getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Staffan Nordkvist hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Gilberto Jeker made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Beppe Clément hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uetendorf Wanderers were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Onsala Ass Kickers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valentiano Freitag took the corner. Thomas Hägglund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uetendorf Wanderers had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
