Basilio Munet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinaldo Ferraz in the 3rd minute. Atlético Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ADM Taquaras the free kick. In the 12th minute, one of Atlético Municipal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Municipal. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for ADM Taquaras. Zé Madureira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Basilio Munet. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Urtzi Megia came free, but Rubinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ongile Arainz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Basilio Munet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Ongile Arainz came free, but Rubinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ongile Arainz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Marcel Viana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético Municipal booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Urtzi Megia got free with Rubinho Abreu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 56 minutes, Marcel Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ADM Taquaras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erasmo Cotillo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rubinho Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Municipal. 65 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Ongile Arainz came free, but Rubinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urtzi Megia in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubinho Abreu saved ADM Taquaras from getting behind. Atlético Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erasmo Cotillo in the 74th minute. The corner ended in Erasmo Cotillo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ADM Taquaras's Rubinho Abreu did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Faustino Villate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Villate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ADM Taquaras's Marcel Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Ongile Arainz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rubinho Abreu, passed just outside the right post. Rubinho Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oier Laincera in the 84th minute. Rubinho Abreu made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Oier Laincera sent off a good shot on target. Atlético Municipal's Basilio Munet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Ferraz in the 91st minute of play.
