The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cederique De Kepper didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Levi Audenaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osmar Simão during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osmar Simão hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cederique De Kepper could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Ronaldão Lucas however easily saved by the left post. 20 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Ronaldão Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cederique De Kepper. Michael Campens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Campens having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Purple Talents got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Smets. Ronaldão Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Van Der Elst in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Falcão to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Scarlet Speedster's zone, Remco Van Der Elst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Lucas came out of the goal and Remco Van Der Elst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scarlet Speedster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Cederique De Kepper scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldão Lucas, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho Veloso was the one to do the kick off. Remco Van Der Elst struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ronaldão Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talents. In the 56th minute, José de Amorim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michael Campens. The goal made the score 1-1. After 58 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Naldo de Lara. Remco Van Der Elst hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Lieven Omblets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarlet Speedster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purple Talents the free kick. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Birger De Coster got a free kick in the 71st minute. Fernandinho Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Michael Campens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Talents's zone, Alex Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Campens came out of the goal and Alex Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Purple Talents's Lieven Omblets in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scarlet Speedster's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute, Allan Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldão Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibaud Theuniers in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibaud Theuniers in the 78th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Ronaldão Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Alex Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scarlet Speedster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Scarlet Speedster players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
