Purple Talents's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC LIVERPOOL the free kick. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Emmanuel Matthijs got a free kick in the 13th minute. Justin Beevers charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Marek Wray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charl Mesmaekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Jordan Goodwick came free, but Michael Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger De Coster hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Paul-Louis Rijmenants's late challenge caught a FC LIVERPOOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul-Louis Rijmenants helped the player get up and apologised. Paul-Louis Rijmenants kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Talents's zone, Phil Tolley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Campens came out of the goal and Phil Tolley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Purple Talents's Dirk Smets pulled a muscle in his back after 48 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Purple Talents's Jan-Simon Decoster was substituted for Dirk Smets. In the 50th match minute, FC LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Tolley to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

57 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goalkeeper Michael Campens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Ingram. After some careless play in the FC LIVERPOOL defense, Charl Mesmaekers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marek Wray. The FC LIVERPOOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Wray should have stopped the shot. Marek Wray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remco Van Der Elst, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. FC LIVERPOOL's Phil Tolley got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Campens made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jasper Best sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Jasper Best had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Campens. Purple Talents's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jasper Best was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Max Ingram's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Campens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Justin Beevers was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd minute, Justin Beevers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marek Wray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levi Audenaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Campens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasper Best in the 90th minute. Tristram Atkins kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes, Purple Talents's Remco Van Der Elst shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marek Wray came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Purple Talents reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Talents's zone, Jasper Best stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Campens came out of the goal and Jasper Best tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when FC LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Broadbent didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Purple Talents's Thibaud Theuniers in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
