Spectators: 8026 (Terracing: 6021, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Justo Tohias took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bertin Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui de Lima in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Justo Tohias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cougars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the S.C. Ferrari defense, Justo Tohias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Antunes. The S.C. Ferrari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Antunes should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Amílton Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Valerio to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Antunes came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Eliseo Remigio. But to his dismay, Eliseo Remigio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sílvio Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliseo Remigio in the 35th minute. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bonifacio Valerio hit a great ball. In the 46th minute Eliseo Remigio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui de Lima made a kick off. Breno Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Bertin Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C. Ferrari were furious when Amílton Sarmento was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Cougars FC. Guillermo Iratze stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sílvio Antunes. 5-1. Sílvio Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Valerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute of the match Cougars FC got a corner. S.C. Ferrari's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Iratze ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eliseo Remigio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Beto Seco hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Eliseo Remigio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Beto Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Alagoano in the 78th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Bertin Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Belarmo during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Fernando Belarmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Antunes came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Pascual Luzaide. But to his dismay, Pascual Luzaide quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Breno Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Rufo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Rufo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Rufo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Luzaide hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. If Breno Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cougars FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
