In the 7th minute, Magnus Kyrning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cougars FC's Bertin Yashin got control of the ball when Alfred Dærup tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Dærup got free with Bertin Yashin in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rikardt Kjeldsvig came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Justo Tohias. But to his dismay, Justo Tohias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hagbard Crans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Guillermo Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikardt Kjeldsvig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikardt Kjeldsvig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Luzaide in the 36th minute of the match. Justo Tohias's late challenge caught a Strib Galacticos IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Tohias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Justo Tohias hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Alfred Dærup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertin Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pascual Luzaide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rikardt Kjeldsvig was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The supporters of Strib Galacticos IF booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justo Tohias made a kick off. Justo Tohias scored 0-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rikardt Kjeldsvig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Pascual Luzaide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rikardt Kjeldsvig was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The supporters of Strib Galacticos IF booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Valerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Remigio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Cougars FC's Justo Tohias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rikardt Kjeldsvig. Rikardt Kjeldsvig yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 66th minute Robin Hagensted shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertin Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cougars FC's zone, Robin Hagensted stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertin Yashin came out of the goal and Robin Hagensted tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Strib Galacticos IF getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Magnus Kyrning hit a great ball. Justo Tohias in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rikardt Kjeldsvig, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Robin Hagensted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bertin Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Kaspar Thabo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Strib Galacticos IF's Rikardt Kjeldsvig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Tohias in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Hagensted in the 88th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Bertin Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Remigio. In the 96th minute, Freddy Holtoft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Cougars FC's Guillermo Iratze tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Cougars FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cougars FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
