Spectators: 8160 (Terracing: 6121, Seating: 1877, VIP seats: 162) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Justo Tohias started the match with the kick off. Cougars FC's Bertin Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Weterio in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute of the match Soroca F.C. got a corner. Cougars FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernesto Reno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ramon Rufo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Bertin Yashin. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 5th minute. Justo Tohias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Socorro having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Faustino Weterio took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Bertin Yashin to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Tohias in the 29th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Eustacio Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Ernesto Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Teo Terciero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Lalla. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ernesto Reno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soroca F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Reno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertin Yashin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Faustino Weterio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Eustacio Socorro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Tohias. 56 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Weterio came free, but Bertin Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cougars FC's Eliseo Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Faustino Weterio came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Weterio couldn't finish the play. In the 66th match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Lalla to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes, Soroca F.C.'s Ernesto Reno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bertin Yashin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soroca F.C. reached it. 69 minutes into the game, Samuel Adams was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soroca F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cougars FC the free kick. After 69 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Adams. Pascual Luzaide kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Faustino Weterio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Pascual Luzaide fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cougars FC's protests and gave Pascual Luzaide a yellow card for diving instead. Pascual Luzaide hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Eliseo Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cougars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Remigio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Adams got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Adams didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Soroca F.C. had won after a very even match.
