The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Lalla during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cougars FC's Oscar Lalla got a free kick in the 10th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Tohias came free, but Leopoldo Txomin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Txomin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Remigio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Cougars FC. Guillermo Iratze stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leopoldo Txomin. 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Cougars FC's Eliseo Remigio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Txomin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 34th minute of the match Guillermo Iratze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Txomin skillfully saved the ball. Eliseo Remigio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Erasmo Ishmael's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertin Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Erubiel Guillem kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Leopoldo Txomin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Pascual Luzaide. But to his dismay, Pascual Luzaide quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Lázaro Cesario's late challenge caught a Cougars FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Cesario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Lázaro Cesario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Maurin in the 71st minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Bertin Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Txomin was a little too slow when Justo Tohias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-4. Ruben Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertin Yashin having to interfere. When Ruben Maurin fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrilete Cósmico FC's protests and gave Ruben Maurin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico FC's Ruben Maurin got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd match minute, Barrilete Cósmico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Quilino to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Rufo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Cosme Diegotxe fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrilete Cósmico FC's protests and gave Cosme Diegotxe a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Barrilete Cósmico FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Diegotxe. Justo Tohias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Txomin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute of the match, Pascual Luzaide tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Txomin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Cosme Diegotxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cougars FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
