The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Ɍυƒυs™'s goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Carneiro came free, but Maurício Estrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedito Rego kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match Eusébio Quintanilha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Antunes skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Ɍυƒυs™ booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes of play, Ɍυƒυs™'s Gusmão Leiria made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 played minutes Ɍυƒυs™ got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Quintanilha. Sílvio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Resende in the 40th minute of play. When Amauri Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Amauri Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. Amauri Pernambucano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute, Gusmão Leiria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ɍυƒυs™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After 60 minutes, Hélder Resende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ɍυƒυs™ and the S.C. Ferrari players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Ɍυƒυs™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristóvão Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Resende in the 63rd minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Sílvio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Genílson Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ɍυƒυs™ the free kick. After some careless play in the S.C. Ferrari defense, Gusmão Leiria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Antunes. The S.C. Ferrari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Antunes should have stopped the shot. Wilson Maciel scored 8-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nilton Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Sílvio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusmão Leiria in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Meira during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ɍυƒυs™'s Ricardo Meira got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Ɍυƒυs™ defense, Rui de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Estrada. The Ɍυƒυs™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Estrada should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Maciel came free, but Sílvio Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ɍυƒυs™ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of S.C. Ferrari for a fine match.
