Gutenberg's Esteve Videl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Tande in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Varela during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Capivariano F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Charles Varela hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Peruanton got free with Cristóvão Souza in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Tande in the 26th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Javier Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gutenberg and the Capivariano F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Javier Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. João Francisco Tande, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Fausto Peruanton came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gutenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Peruanton couldn't finish the play. Fausto Peruanton came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristóvão Souza could save by the left post. The supporters of Capivariano F.C. booed when Gutenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Rossi in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cristóvão Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Peruanton in the 57th minute of play. Eduardo Oton kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Fausto Peruanton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristóvão Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. João Francisco Tande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Esteve Videl made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Tande came free, but Esteve Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Dominguez hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Fausto Peruanton made a precise shot to the right of Cristóvão Souza. Capivariano F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Cristóvão Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gutenberg's Claudio Umbruso got a free kick in the 77th minute. Capivariano F.C.'s João Francisco Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 83rd minute of the match Javier Franco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Javier Franco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Javier Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Fausto Peruanton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gutenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capivariano F.C. the free kick. After 90 played minutes Gutenberg got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Peruanton. In the 91st match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Lawrence to maneuver through the defense. Gutenberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Capivariano F.C. for a fine match.
