Spectators: 7987 (Terracing: 5991, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Barnabas Rogge got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabas Rogge came free, but Esteve Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute of the game, Gunther Daun landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 11 minutes into the game, Cristobal Fliz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gutenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academica Pulheim the free kick. Academica Pulheim's Thomas von Puttkammer was substituted for Gunther Daun. Nestor Ritchie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvo Kobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvo Kobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santo Dominguez's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Dominik Zintl kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Alvo Kobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Javier Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, one of Academica Pulheim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academica Pulheim. Arnd Freye kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Cristobal Fliz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvo Kobe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Nestor Ritchie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvo Kobe. Academica Pulheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Ritchie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nestor Ritchie to strike the kick off in the second half. Alvo Kobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Ritchie's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Santo Dominguez hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnabas Rogge in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Alvo Kobe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Marcones. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Oppmann in the 75th minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper Esteve Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Oppmann in the 75th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Barnabas Rogge put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Esteve Videl. In the 87th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Meißel to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Ritchie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvo Kobe came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Ritchie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 89th minute. Alvo Kobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santo Dominguez's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Dominguez in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvo Kobe saved Academica Pulheim from getting behind. When the match was over Gutenberg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academica Pulheim throughout the match.
