Marco Lixandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Sorin in the 3rd minute of the match. Marco Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Sorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Sorin came free, but Marco Lixandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Juan Sorin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonas Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Lixandro having to interfere. Marcelo Estebano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Juan Sorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Ivo Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Jonas Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes, Flávio Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul and the MORPH players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonio Gartzea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitor José. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. MORPH's Marco Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sorin in the 47th minute of play.

Vitor José stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Estebano's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Marcelo Estebano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José. Vitor José was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 78 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sorin. Flávio Fonseca hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Alfredo Madeo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitor José. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Madeo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Gartzea during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes MORPH got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Gartzea. 94 minutes into the match, Jonas Veloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Lixandro. MORPH's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Veloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
