With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Viana in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Hartz saved Laurita FC from getting behind. In the 5th minute Jonas Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Dante Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Aaron Elizardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vitor José. Aaron Elizardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Laurita FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Romulo Phelipe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Viana in the 24th minute of play forced Laurita FC's goalkeeper Dante Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Sá hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Laurita FC's Teo Senio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitor José made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Flávio Fonseca's late challenge caught a Laurita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. The excitement rose when Laurita FC's Romulo Phelipe after 43 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The audience was convinced that Pedro Kelemen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitor José was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Vitor José stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Elizardo's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Laurita FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
