When Imam Asmawan came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SAPI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Imam Asmawan couldn't finish the play. After 11 minutes, Xavier Castella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roneros F.C. and the SAPI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Roneros F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Castella to maneuver through the defense. Xuoco Zaera walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a little luck, Roneros F.C.'s Urtsua Sanabre got control of the ball when Fitrah Pandelaki tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Imam Asmawan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAPI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Roneros F.C.'s Urtsua Sanabre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tri Habibie in the 58th minute of play. Urtsua Sanabre came out of the goal and Imam Asmawan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ximenez Aller got free with Topan Supriatna in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xavier Castella kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Roneros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Castella didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SAPI FC had played much better football throughout.
