Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Velasco Vives fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Viana having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andoitz Griful during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ciruel Academy's Andoitz Griful got a free kick in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Alberto Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tabb Barral. Ciruel Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Yiyo Jaen's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yiyo Jaen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Ciruel Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yiyo Jaen to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciruel Academy's Tabb Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel da Rocha in the 90th minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
