An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Luisito Medero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 7th minute Alberto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Maura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Benjamin Firmo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZORZAL01's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. Benjamin Firmo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Couto. Benjamin Firmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Douglas Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, ZORZAL01's Benjamin Firmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Viana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ambrosio Misael managed to get in a good position for a shot. ZORZAL01's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Misael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes, Venancio Guerrero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZORZAL01 and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Venancio Guerrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Alfredo da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mauricio Maura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 44 played minutes ZORZAL01 got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Cortez. In the 46th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Yan Penha hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Firmo to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Israel Brais came free, but Douglas Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Israel Brais got a free kick in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Benjamin Firmo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of SORRISO E. C.'s Douglas Viana. Douglas Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo da Rocha came free, but Mauricio Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Everardo Calvino got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Mendonça. In the 80th minute, Camilo Ciceron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Brais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZORZAL01's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
