Uriel Rik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ricardo Alpert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Primitivo Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Alpert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 32 minutes on the clock, Ramon Corderun commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Vł₦ɆłⱤØ ₣₵ booed when Los Gallos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Uriel Santo made the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Alpert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Chago couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Chago struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ricardo Alpert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
