The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Dedé Mazer managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haydar Torhan in the 20th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Simão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berker Rıza Afşaroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Simão got free with Berker Rıza Afşaroğlu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İlyas Ahid might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İlyas Ahid ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Olcay Orkun Sadi came free, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes, Dorival Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the !!KARAGÜLLE İMPARATORLUĞU players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Dorival Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored Palestra do Interior's protests and gave Ulysses Neto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Neto to maneuver through the defense.

Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, !!KARAGÜLLE İMPARATORLUĞU's Haydar Torhan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 66th minute, Dorival Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferit Suphi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to !!KARAGÜLLE İMPARATORLUĞU getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Burç Bir hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Sandy Ogrocki. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when !!KARAGÜLLE İMPARATORLUĞU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haydar Torhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Serafim Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot.
