In the 32ndth minute of the game Baladi Vellana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Gallos's Filiberto Iratzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eduardo Lezarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Osoitz in the 33rd minute. Filiberto Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baladi Vellana in the 38th minute of the match. Fernando Osoitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Eduardo Lezarreta made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Redeño to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Los Gallos's goalkeeper Filiberto Iratzeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Redeño. A collision led to Deportivo Popolizio FBC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Eduardo Lezarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Neron in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Gomesano came free, but Eduardo Lezarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Lezarreta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Osoitz's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Fabricio Leocadio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Eduardo Lezarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Aballe in the 82nd minute of play. Fernando Osoitz scored 2-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Lezarreta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Salvador Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eduardo Lezarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Gallos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
