Danijel Subašić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Simão in the 52nd minute of play. Danijel Subašić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Simão in the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Donato Senen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palestra do Interior! With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danijel Subašić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The tension between the Spams and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. 99 minutes into the match, Dorival Almeida notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Spams's Danijel Subašić. Danijel Subašić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palestra do Interior had won after a very even match.
