After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Arturo Maldini managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Patagonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Maldini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Lezarreta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Quintan Ontavilla came free, but Francesco Colasante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Larpe Berrios fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Popolizio FBC's protests and gave Larpe Berrios a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Cericola didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Eguerdi Comacho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A hard shot 83 in the game by Alfredo De Cesaris from a close distance when the talented Eduardo Lezarreta managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players were relieved. Eduardo Lezarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo De Cesaris in the 86th minute. Alfredo De Cesaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Francesco Goffredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Lezarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Francesco Goffredo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
