An unexpectedly hard shot by Bosco Balaban in the 10th minute of play forced Los Gallos's goalkeeper Filiberto Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spams's Danijel Subašić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Spams from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Spams getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Salvador Petri hit a great ball. With a little luck, Spams's Danijel Subašić got control of the ball when Elpidio Raebert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basilio Aureo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Spams's Bosco Balaban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filiberto Iratzeder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 31 played minutes Los Gallos got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Aureo. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Neron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Berart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Filiberto Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spams made a substitution. Aquiles Maties replaced Romulo Eli.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Osoitz was the one to do the kick off. Salvador Petri kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Bosco Balaban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Filiberto Iratzeder made a huge save. Ramon Corderun hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Danijel Subašić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Osoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Donato Senen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Filiberto Iratzeder skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 86 played minutes Los Gallos got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Corderun. A collision led to Spams getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Orlando Jerano hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Fernando Osoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Subašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Neron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Valentin Neron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Subašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spams's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
