Bosco Balaban started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintan Ontavilla in the 2nd minute of play forced Spams's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Loren Canel got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Romulo Eli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Lezarreta. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Bosco Balaban came free, but Eduardo Lezarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Spams getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Aldo Lizbeth hit a great ball. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Ardines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, Spams's Augusto Oriol made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Lezarreta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celedonio Baristo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eduardo Lezarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Eli. In the 30th minute, Rene Hebia had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Cordarryl Garaizar was substituted for Rene Hebia. Danijel Subašić made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Quintan Ontavilla sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Umea charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Umea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Mateus Ardines made a precise shot to the right of Danijel Subašić. Spams's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Eduardo Lezarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Eli in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Quintan Ontavilla made the kick off in the second half. Romulo Eli charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Eli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when Spams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Eli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Lezarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Eli in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Felipe Sotelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Augusto Oriol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eduardo Lezarreta. The goal made the score 2-2. After 72 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Eli. 73 minutes into the match, Quintan Ontavilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danijel Subašić. Spams's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quintan Ontavilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Eduardo Lezarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bosco Balaban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Lezarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Eli in the 81st minute of play. Spams's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romulo Eli in the 82nd minute. The corner ended in Romulo Eli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Eduardo Lezarreta did a great save. The supporters of Spams booed when Deportivo Popolizio FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Ardines didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th match minute, Spams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Errapel to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
