With his leg Elias Cristos managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when FC Fura Balizas's Julião Barcelos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Anjullan AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vladimiro Guerreiro was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Fura Balizas's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Vilarinho during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Fura Balizas's Tobias Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Artizar in the 37th minute of play. Victorio Cordairo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Anjullan AFC's goalkeeper Elias Cristos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Guarda. Tobias Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Artizar in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elias Cristos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 58 minutes, Aristides Jurgi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anjullan AFC and the FC Fura Balizas players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Márcio Vilarinho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. A collision led to FC Fura Balizas getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Márcio Vilarinho hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Victorio Cordairo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Paixão. FC Fura Balizas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victorio Cordairo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Anjullan AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
