In the 11th minute, Jose Artizar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Paulo Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jose Artizar took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Paulo Baiano. João Paulo Baiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 19 minutes into the game, Jose Artizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. João Paulo Baiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Ladislao Isadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see DENVER™'s Luiz Guilherme Toscano in action when he in the 24th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Sansone during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Anjullan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Caetano to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Guilherme Toscano might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Cristos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Guilherme Toscano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute Jose Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Elias Cristos made a huge save. 40 minutes into the game, Jose Artizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. João Paulo Baiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Marcos Ibar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anjullan AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Ibar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jose Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Artizar in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper João Paulo Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Artizar. Elias Cristos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Romero in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in DENVER™'s zone, Jose Artizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Baiano came out of the goal and Jose Artizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper João Paulo Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Ibar. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Mathias Carvalho got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jose Artizar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, João Paulo Baiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jose Artizar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Paulo Baiano having to make a save. Andres Caetano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but João Paulo Baiano made a huge save. If Mathias Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Artizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Paulo Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Jose Artizar came free, but João Paulo Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
