The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Xentrias's Göran Lidman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Grönberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zlatan BK's goalkeeper Kjell Grönberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Xentrias's Otto Norström got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Xentrias getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Uno Wallin hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Lidman in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell Grönberg saved Zlatan BK from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Göran Lidman put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kjell Grönberg. 26 minutes into the game, Xentrias's Göran Lidman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell Grönberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 33rd minute Göran Lidman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Grönberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Xentrias's Göran Lidman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Grönberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Zlatan BK booed when Xentrias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göran Lidman struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Kjell Grönberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xentrias.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludvig Wik was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Xentrias getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Kim Joensson hit a great ball. With a little luck, Xentrias's Stig Busk got control of the ball when Ludvig Wik tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Wilhelm Hård in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Xentrias's Jörn Albohm. Xentrias's Jörn Albohm got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Göran Lidman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Xentrias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Lidman couldn't finish the play. Per-Åke Nordstedt hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Göran Lidman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell Grönberg was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 76th match minute, Xentrias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Vennerkvist to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Zlatan BK's Ludvig Wik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 79th minute, Ludvig Wik made a precise shot to the right of Stig Busk. Xentrias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Börge Botvidsson kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Kjell Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Lidman in the 83rd minute of play. Zlatan BK's Kjell Grönberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Lidman in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Xentrias's Göran Lidman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Grönberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Zlatan BK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Patric Persson hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Göran Lidman notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zlatan BK's Kjell Grönberg. Kjell Grönberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
