The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Jakobe in the 8th minute of play forced Desfachatados F.C.'s goalkeeper Matias Gauargi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Ubarna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matias Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Jakobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Melquiades Ritchie charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Ritchie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Melquiades Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17thth minute of the game Rolando Ubarna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desfachatados F.C.'s Matias Gauargi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Ubarna hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of DESTROY booed when Desfachatados F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Roland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st match minute, Desfachatados F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Oro to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, DESTROY's Rolando Ubarna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Gauargi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, DESTROY's goalkeeper Marciano Salvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Ritchie. 43 minutes into the game, Eloy Jakobe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DESTROY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Desfachatados F.C. the free kick. After 47 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Harriet. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

DESTROY's Eloy Jakobe got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Eloy Jakobe off the ground. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's Eloy Jakobe got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Romulo Harriet kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The throw-in from Benito Roland in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by DESTROY's Eloy Feo. 60 minutes into the game, Rolando Ubarna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Matias Gauargi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute Rolando Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Salvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Desfachatados F.C. booed when DESTROY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Gauargi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Ubarna in the 95th minute. The DESTROY supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DESTROY would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
