In the 7th minute, Tibor Barmoš ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vencho Gazibarov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 19 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vencho Gazibarov was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mircho Chakalov came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Каблешково fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircho Chakalov couldn't finish the play. Miroslav Brezník kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 30th minute Mircho Chakalov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Adamčík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klement Dupal hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Tibor Kavecký shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vencho Gazibarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Brezník to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Miroslav Brezník hit a great ball. Klement Dupal scored 1-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vencho Gazibarov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mircho Chakalov was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mircho Chakalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Trenčan to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Mircho Chakalov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Adamčík showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. AFK Petržalka were furious when Pavol Kaščák was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 65th minute, one of AFK Petržalka:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFK Petržalka. 71 minutes into the match, Каблешково's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Dupal came free, but Vencho Gazibarov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleko Milanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nedyalko Yanachkov during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Каблешково was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nedyalko Yanachkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFK Petržalka walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
