Spectators: 8455 (Terracing: 6342, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) Petru Moldoveanu made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARLAD's Petru Moldoveanu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petru Moldoveanu in the 6th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Călin Târban scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vlad Covrig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Arghir in the 15th minute of play. Calistrat Şerbănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Felix Anton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, F.C.BARLAD's Felix Anton got control of the ball when Eric Astafei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Astafei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C.BARLAD's Petru Moldoveanu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Moldoveanu in the 33rd minute of play. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Moldoveanu in the 37th minute of play. Eric Astafei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petru Moldoveanu took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vlad Covrig. Vlad Covrig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Moldoveanu in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, F.C.BARLAD's Petru Moldoveanu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Covrig was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calistrat Şerbănescu was the one to do the kick off. Vlad Covrig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Moldoveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 63 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petru Moldoveanu. F.C.BARLAD made a substitution. Nae Encica replaced Cornel Drăgoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 70th minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Felix Anton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Moldoveanu in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, F.C.BARLAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Eniceicu to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Anton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Cârlan in the 92nd minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Felix Anton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Târban in the 95th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Tomozei charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihail Tomozei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching F.C.BARLAD's performance. The match ended with a win for F.C.BARLAD.
