Spectators: 8519 (Terracing: 6390, Seating: 1959, VIP seats: 170) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulinho Fonseca started the match with the kick off. AFK Petržalka's Ivan Adamčík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Guerra in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Pavol Kaščák got a free kick in the 8th minute. When AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Paulinho Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFK Petržalka's Ivan Adamčík was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fernando Silva came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Viktor Pištovič. But to his dismay, Viktor Pištovič quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Valdemar Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Ivan Kaľavský got a free kick in the 28th minute. Aílton Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Adamčík read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Doni Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Barmoš came free, but Luiz Fernando Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes AFK Petržalka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benedito Tande who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jovens Democratas MZC's Benedito Tande to fire away a dangerous shot which Ivan Adamčík despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Paulinho Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Adamčík was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 41 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Miroslav Brezník. AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Sousa. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Bohdan Jedlík got a free kick in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Pištovič to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Barmoš came free, but Luiz Fernando Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Rogério Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Adamčík breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AFK Petržalka's Klement Dupal was substituted for Tibor Barmoš. After 63 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Barmoš. AFK Petržalka's Klement Dupal got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fernando Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Dupal in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Bohdan Jedlík hit a great ball. Luiz Fernando Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Dupal in the 80th minute of play. Aílton Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Adamčík having to make a save. Ivan Adamčík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Aílton Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Adamčík took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klement Dupal kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ivan Adamčík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Fonseca in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Valdemar Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AFK Petržalka's Ivan Adamčík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Fonseca in the 97th minute of play. In the 99th minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. AFK Petržalka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedito Tande ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
