Jens-Ola Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Conllas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Alfred Österberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Torrens came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfred Österberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Gilen Tejada in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zero Hedge's Karl Lindström. Alfred Österberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AFC United's zone, Yngve Bock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Torrens came out of the goal and Yngve Bock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Donato Covillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Österberg charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Österberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AFC United booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Österberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Conllas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector-Luis Conllas was the one to do the kick off. When Lalo Buenaga came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the AFC United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lalo Buenaga couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Österberg came free, but Pedro Torrens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Lalo Buenaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gilen Tejada fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC United's protests and gave Gilen Tejada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Teofilo Pardelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Torrens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Österberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens-Ola Löv made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Hector-Luis Conllas sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over AFC United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zero Hedge throughout the match.
