In the 18th minute, Deportivo Balvanera's Santiago Sosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ove Trillkott. Ove Trillkott yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 20 minutes, Florencio Paz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Balvanera and the Ronnys Lärjungar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Paz. Santiago Sosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ove Trillkott having to make a save. Peder Tönnberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodosio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Snell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ronny Skott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teo Oinatz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ronny Skott scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Urtats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute Santiago Sosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Trillkott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Skott was the one to do the kick off. Florencio Paz kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ronnys Lärjungar's Bengt-Åke Clementsson was substituted for Peder Tönnberg. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Balvanera reached it. Deportivo Balvanera's Teodosio Urtats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. Ove Trillkott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Restu in the 86th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ronnys Lärjungar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Deportivo Balvanera a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rene Restu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ronnys Lärjungar's Ove Trillkott. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Balvanera fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ronnys Lärjungar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
