Seating: 2144, VIP seats: 185) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sam-Lucas Van Achteren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bennie Wilson made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Beek City's Arnoud Van Gertsuyden. In the 6th minute, Bennie Wilson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bennie Wilson hit a great ball. The corner ended in Bart Schild almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Beek City's Thierry Lenaerts did a great save. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Bennie Wilson got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Wesley van Rhijn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decathlon Dudes's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley van Rhijn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thierry Lenaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Deinse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes, Arnoud Van Gertsuyden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beek City and the Decathlon Dudes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnoud Van Gertsuyden kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Beek City's zone, Alex Deinse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thierry Lenaerts came out of the goal and Alex Deinse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Steven Hagemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beek City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decathlon Dudes the free kick. In the 38th minute, Felix Janus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Natan Rouvoet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beek City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decathlon Dudes the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natan Rouvoet to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Arjan Robben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Thierry Lenaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wesley van Rhijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bennie Wilson's late challenge caught a Beek City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bennie Wilson helped the player get up and apologised. Felix Janus charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Janus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Felix Janus. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Natan Rouvoet took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gerrit Kemper to make any attempt to save it. After 71 minutes of play Beek City's Steven Hagemans was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Steven Hagemans hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Xavier Claessens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Deinse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Thierry Lenaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thierry Lenaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley van Rhijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute Alex Deinse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thierry Lenaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Meynen kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Thierry Lenaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Deinse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arjan Robben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thierry Lenaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjan Robben in the 96th minute of the match. Beek City were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Decathlon Dudes's much stronger midfield.
