Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bertil Albäck kicked off to start the match. Luka Van Aken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vencel Mezei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Eubank in the 9th minute of play. The corner led SK Mons's Christoph Van den Berch to fire away a dangerous shot which Vencel Mezei despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Eubank came free, but Vencel Mezei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Vencel Mezei managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when SK Mons's Steven Puttemans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Steven Puttemans had several of the Pénzügyőr SE's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Vencel Mezei as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 23 minutes, Yanniek Verhaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Mons and the Pénzügyőr SE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Yanniek Verhaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Albäck in the 27th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Connor Osmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoph Van den Berch to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Puttemans came free, but Vencel Mezei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vencel Mezei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Puttemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Albäck in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Connor Osmond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Márton Soós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoph Van den Berch in the 41st minute of play forced Pénzügyőr SE's goalkeeper Vencel Mezei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Chen Hai Zhi made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luka Van Aken however managed to control. Vencel Mezei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Ulici in the 63rd minute of play. Vencel Mezei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Ulici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yanniek Verhaert made in the 79th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luka Van Aken immediately put the ball in play. Bertil Albäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Connor Osmond made a huge save. In the 82nd match minute, Pénzügyőr SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erben Kiewit to maneuver through the defense. Vencel Mezei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steven Puttemans went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Bertil Albäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pénzügyőr SE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
