Connor Osmond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Steven Puttemans took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Gustavo Coelho to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute of the match, Christoph Van den Berch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gustavo Coelho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 38th minute, Rowley McJon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Christoph Van den Berch came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SK Mons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoph Van den Berch couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Jacaré in the 46th minute of play. Connor Osmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

SK Mons were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Xurupita FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christoph Van den Berch took the corner. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match SK Mons got a corner. Xurupita FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christoph Van den Berch ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gustavo Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Ulici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cornel Ulici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Coelho was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Jorge Pombal hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Xurupita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Ulici came free, but Gustavo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Trevor Eubank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xurupita FC played a much better game than SK Mons and deserved their victory. The SK Mons players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
