Filip Tăcutu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Vencel Mezei made a huge save. Ingvar Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Albäck in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Pénzügyőr SE's Vencel Mezei got control of the ball when Herminio Vincente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bertil Albäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingvar Hellkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bertil Albäck ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Patricio Isias in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pénzügyőr SE's Márton Soós. Patricio Isias made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pénzügyőr SE's Márton Soós. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Vincente to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Vincente came free, but Vencel Mezei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vencel Mezei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Vincente in the 87th minute of the match. Tahsin Paksu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Diego Armando Maradona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Pénzügyőr SE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pénzügyőr SE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
