The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Rey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingvar Hellkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niceto Umea who took care of the corner kick. 8 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Rey came free, but Ingvar Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Rey took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingvar Hellkvist. Ingvar Hellkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Patricio Rey managed to get in a good position for a shot. 【E ➣PS2 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Rey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Hellkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Patricio Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute 【E ➣PS2 FC were awarded a corner. Niceto Umea went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Ingvar Hellkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's zone, Patricio Rey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Hellkvist came out of the goal and Patricio Rey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingvar Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Umea in the 38th minute of the match. Ingvar Hellkvist came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by 【E ➣PS2 FC's Niceto Umea. But to his dismay, Niceto Umea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 47th match minute, 【E ➣PS2 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Adams to maneuver through the defense. The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 【E ➣PS2 FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Armando Maradona was the one to do the kick off. 【E ➣PS2 FC made a substitution. Genaro Di Santi replaced Vern Bird. 【E ➣PS2 FC's Cezary Piczak was substituted for Patricio Rey. The supporters of 【E ➣PS2 FC booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Smolarek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Vincente might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Velas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herminio Vincente ran back to his position shaking his head. After 72 minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niceto Umea who took care of the corner kick. Niceto Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Hellkvist having to interfere. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Di Santi in the 81st minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, 【E ➣PS2 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Vincente came free, but Armando Velas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes, Norberto Pappo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 【E ➣PS2 FC and the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norberto Pappo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when 【E ➣PS2 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Pappo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Vincente in the 92nd minute of play forced 【E ➣PS2 FC's goalkeeper Armando Velas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded 【E ➣PS2 FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C Ａ R D I N Ａ L.
