Alvaro Pagomari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Chaves having to interfere. The Waldos's Alvaro Pagomari managed to work through União Agrícola Barbarense's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alvaro Pagomari dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Thanks to some nice moves Alvaro Pagomari could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Zé Roberto Chaves however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Pagomari got free with Zé Roberto Chaves in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marin Ştefănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Ştefănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Prudencio Isias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Roberto Chaves, 2-0. Zé Roberto Chaves was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Prudencio Isias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Prudencio Isias really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Prudencio Isias took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Roberto Chaves. Zé Roberto Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The Waldos's Kazimierz Madajczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as The Waldos's Prudencio Isias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Roberto Chaves. That made the score 6-0 after 30 minutes of play. Prudencio Isias had several of the União Agrícola Barbarense's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 7-0 score and a disappointed Zé Roberto Chaves as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 38th minute, Prudencio Isias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Waldos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. If Kazimierz Madajczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, União Agrícola Barbarense's Zé Roberto Chaves got control of the ball when Marin Ştefănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

55 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Isias came free, but Zé Roberto Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorian Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kazimierz Madajczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Prudencio Isias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Roberto Chaves was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
