In the 11th minute, Arne Kullander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Leões do Sul 53 fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Leões do Sul 53's Börje Westerberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Börje Westerberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Generoso Sasoin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th match minute, Gloria Verdinegra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Sabin to maneuver through the defense. Arne Kullander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Sasoin having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When Apolo Fagildo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gloria Verdinegra AFC's protests and gave Apolo Fagildo a yellow card for diving instead. Apolo Fagildo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Leões do Sul 53's Leandro Custódio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Leões do Sul 53 from getting a goal against them. Fernando Favila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Leandro Custódio made a huge save. Arne Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Gloria Verdinegra AFC defense, Rony Rüşti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Generoso Sasoin. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Generoso Sasoin should have stopped the shot. After 78 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Kraig Sandoval. 79 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Horacio Iztal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Fernando Favila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Custódio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Generoso Sasoin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Westerberg in the 88th minute of play. Generoso Sasoin came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Leões do Sul 53's Arne Kullander. But to his dismay, Arne Kullander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. Constantino Uhin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Börje Westerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leões do Sul 53 had won after a very even match.
