FC Montana's Ahmet Seyfi Serdinç got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aydın Mehmet was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Rick Souness capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rick Souness really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaç Mazlum in the 22nd minute of play. Aydın Mehmet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neal Weatherby in the 24th minute. If Andaç Mazlum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute, Andaç Mazlum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Kerville was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Rick Souness kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aydın Mehmet. That made the score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, FC Montana's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Chaptal came free, but Aydın Mehmet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes FC Montana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rick Souness who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Elderslie Magpies's corner Sam Mccartan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aydın Mehmet quite easily take care of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, FC Montana's goalkeeper Aydın Mehmet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Mccartan. The audience was convinced that Andaç Mazlum's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Kerville was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Steven Chaptal scored 3-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aydın Mehmet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 54 minutes Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville managed, with a little bit of luck, save Jason Statham's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andaç Mazlum in the 89th minute of the match. FC Montana's Aydın Mehmet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Chaptal in the 93rd minute of play. Aydın Mehmet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neal Weatherby in the 98th minute of play. In the 99th minute of the match Elderslie Magpies got a corner. FC Montana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rick Souness ran over to the corner to take the kick. Elderslie Magpies's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
