Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Verner Kjellkvist kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ryszard Pilipiec kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joakim Isaksson. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Tallkotte's goalkeeper Joakim Isaksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Kjellkvist in the 12th minute of play. When Neno Burmov came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the IFK Tallkotte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neno Burmov couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, IFK Tallkotte's Patrick Cabello got a free kick in the 16th minute. Verner Kjellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gilbert Podolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Kjellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Pogoń Stawiszyn defense, Verner Kjellkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilbert Podolski. The Pogoń Stawiszyn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilbert Podolski should have stopped the shot. Ryszard Pilipiec received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joakim Isaksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ryszard Pilipiec slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 23rd minute. Gilbert Podolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neno Burmov in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pogoń Stawiszyn defense, Neno Burmov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilbert Podolski. The Pogoń Stawiszyn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilbert Podolski should have stopped the shot. A collision led to IFK Tallkotte getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ludwig Östlund hit a great ball. With his leg Joakim Isaksson managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Pogoń Stawiszyn's Kazimierz Dylla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 36thth minute of the game Verner Kjellkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Kjellkvist in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Ryszard Pilipiec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń Stawiszyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Tallkotte the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ryszard Pilipiec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Louis-Philippe De Fremeaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Tallkotte's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis-Philippe De Fremeaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Podolski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joakim Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Pilipiec in the 57th minute of play. After 60 played minutes IFK Tallkotte got a freekick which was hit by Nenko Lanzhev. In the 65thth minute of the game Verner Kjellkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Kjellkvist in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Podolski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Kjellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Gilbert Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verner Kjellkvist in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Kjellkvist in the 76th minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, IFK Tallkotte's goal looked a bit too open when Radoslaw Trojanowski came free, but Joakim Isaksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Podolski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Verner Kjellkvist's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Verner Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Mieszko Bartelak got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of IFK Tallkotte booed when Pogoń Stawiszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Kaznocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neno Burmov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Podolski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
