Patricio Otoniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Albert Remus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BESTIA GDAŃSK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Albert Remus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Podolski was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After 11 minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jozef Goegebeur who took care of the corner kick. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BESTIA GDAŃSK's Janusz Pieprz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Igor Dziewedik in the 16 minute of the game. Igor Dziewedik's late challenge caught a BESTIA GDAŃSK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Dziewedik helped the player get up and apologised. Pogoń Stawiszyn:s Gilbert Podolski showed great skill when he stopped Bartosz Gad:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Remus in the 21st minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Jozef Goegebeur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leszek Huchro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Pilipiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32ndth minute of the game Albert Remus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albert Remus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Podolski having to interfere. Albert Remus took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Podolski. Gilbert Podolski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Albert Remus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilbert Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Remus in the 42nd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albert Remus to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Remus got free with Gilbert Podolski in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52nd minute of the match BESTIA GDAŃSK got a corner. Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jozef Goegebeur ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Remus in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Podolski saved Pogoń Stawiszyn from getting behind. In the 55th minute of the match BESTIA GDAŃSK got a corner. Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jozef Goegebeur ran over to the corner to take the kick. BESTIA GDAŃSK's Jozef Goegebeur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gilbert Podolski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Mieszko Bartelak in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BESTIA GDAŃSK's Szymon Maziarski. In the 64th minute, Albert Remus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Podolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Albert Remus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Albert Remus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Podolski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, BESTIA GDAŃSK's Albert Remus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Podolski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radoslaw Trojanowski kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Albert Remus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Podolski. Pogoń Stawiszyn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Remus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. A collision led to BESTIA GDAŃSK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Janusz Pieprz hit a great ball. With a little luck, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski got control of the ball when Bartosz Gad tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of BESTIA GDAŃSK booed when Pogoń Stawiszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Dziewedik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Remus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilbert Podolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Remus in the 93rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacek Kolbe in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Huchro saved BESTIA GDAŃSK from getting behind. The BESTIA GDAŃSK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BESTIA GDAŃSK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
