The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. IFK Tallkotte's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Jozef Goegebeur scored to the left of an out of position Joakim Isaksson, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to BESTIA GDAŃSK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Albert Remus hit a great ball. Leszek Huchro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neno Burmov in the 13th minute of the match. Leszek Huchro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neno Burmov went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute, Neno Burmov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Tallkotte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 27th minute Godo Møltoft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Huchro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match IFK Tallkotte got a corner. BESTIA GDAŃSK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lukas Isaksson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on IFK Tallkotte's corner Verner Kjellkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leszek Huchro quite easily take care of the ball. Joakim Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Goegebeur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jozef Goegebeur was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Verner Kjellkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leszek Huchro was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Joakim Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Remus in the 88th minute of play. Godo Møltoft charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godo Møltoft the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Godo Møltoft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. IFK Tallkotte's Verner Kjellkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joakim Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szymon Maziarski, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Albert Remus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
