Anak Junior started the match with the kick off. Edwin Godholms short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Feliberto Gonsalvo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, C A U's goalkeeper Feliberto Gonsalvo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Godholm. 14 minutes into the match, C A U's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Godholm came free, but Feliberto Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Godholm in the 14th minute of play. Rodolfo Cordarin made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Longobarda's Damiano Trasatti. The crowd rose to their feet as Longobarda's Edwin Godholm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliberto Gonsalvo. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Feliberto Gonsalvo had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Edwin Godholm's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anak Junior in the 29th minute of play. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anak Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Edwin Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florian Cocca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Feliberto Gonsalvo made a huge save. Edwin Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Gonsalvo having to interfere. C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Godholm in the 42nd minute of play. Feliberto Gonsalvo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Cocca in the 44th minute. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Florian Cocca sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edwin Godholm to make the kick off. Feliberto Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Cocca, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Edwin Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C A U's Bernabe Gartzen was substituted for Conrado Ferrer. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Edwin Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longobarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Godholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Longobarda's Florian Cocca in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C A U's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Edwin Godholm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliberto Gonsalvo was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Longobarda's Adriano Colantoni was substituted for Franco Sciamanna. Longobarda's Manuel Zărnescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodolfo Cordarin in the 81 minute of the game. Edwin Godholm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliberto Gonsalvo having to make a save. If Edwin Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabiano Canzano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Gonsalvo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. If Florian Cocca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Fabiano Canzano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Feliberto Gonsalvo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Longobarda players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
