They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Godholm couldn't finish the play. Longobarda's Davide Moscatelli was substituted for Frank Cherubini. Iwan Swoboda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Godholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Arslan Sadreddin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lev Yashin. The goal made the score 1-3.
