If Ceferino Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Rebengiuc in the 23rd minute of play. Ceferino Hever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 minutes, Eric Astafei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca and the C A U players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eric Astafei kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when C A U was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Gonsalvo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfonso Isauro took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vlad Covrig. Vlad Covrig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bernabe Gartzen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vlad Covrig having to make a save. Nico González received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Vlad Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
