Gustaw Kosiorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Lev Yashin made a huge save. In the 5th minute, Arnulfo Riba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Budzyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Cocca, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Longobarda were furious when Franco Sciamanna was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Longobarda! With his leg Lev Yashin managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Gustaw Kosiorek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 18 minutes into the game, Gustaw Kosiorek lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Lev Yashin. After 24 minutes Longobarda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miroslaw Wielopolski who took care of the corner kick. Armin Iacovone tried in the 24th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Lev Yashin a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 3-0. In the 27th minute Szymon Sobczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Manuel Zărnescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Budzyn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anthimos Vougas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jan Budzyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Budzyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Godholm in the 32nd minute of play. Lev Yashin made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Gustaw Kosiorek sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Godholm in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Budzyn saved Lyna Lidzbark Warminski from getting behind. Anthimos Vougas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Radoslaw Kon got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Armin Iacovone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 minutes Longobarda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miroslaw Wielopolski who took care of the corner kick.

In the 53rd minute Florian Cocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Budzyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmund Kojder scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lev Yashin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 minutes of play, Longobarda's Edwin Godholm made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Budzyn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Edwin Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longobarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Godholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Budzyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Jan Budzyn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Lyna Lidzbark Warminski from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Florian Cocca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radoslaw Kon hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes Lyna Lidzbark Warminski got a freekick which was hit by Radoslaw Kon. Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szymon Sobczak in the 84th minute of play. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Sobczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Longobarda's Anfilogino Lancia was substituted for Anthimos Vougas. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Longobarda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miroslaw Wielopolski was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's players had a chance to rest. Edmund Kojder made a great header on Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's corner, it was just that Longobarda's Lev Yashin managed to reach the ball for a save. 89 minutes into the match, Longobarda's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Kosiorek came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski had won after a very even match.
